PHD in Architecture and Professor of Projects at the Advanced Technical School of Architecture in Seville since 1988. Guest lecturer at various universities such as Kingston (London), Nancy, Graz, Panama, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Malaga and Granada.
His work as a researcher includes the Assembled Housing Kit for seasonal workers, built in Cartaya (Huelva). Director of the research projects “Solarkit” and “Patio 2.12” for the International Sustainable Building Competition “Solar Decathlon” from 2010 and 2012, where he won numerous partial awards and the second prize in the overall score.
His buildings have won, among others, the National Public Housing Prize 2005, the National Termoarcilla Prize, the “Félix Hernández” Prize of the Architects’ Association of Cordoba, the 2nd National “Urban Solutions” Prize of the Higher Council of the Spanish Architects’ Associations, and one of the three mentions in the European Architecture Prize “Ugo Rivolta”.
