He currently co-directs said research group with Servando Álvarez.
He has participated in more than 15 international projects, 20 national projects and more than 80 transfer contracts, being the head researcher in many of them. The research areas of interest for his group since 1979 and to date are: “Thermal Behaviour of Buildings - Energy Efficiency and Component Development”; “Energy Management - Buildings and Facilities”; “Natural Conditioning Techniques - Characterisation and Integration”; and “Urban Climate - Outdoor Comfort and Building Impact”.
